Competition season is nearly upon us! We're gearing up for the first event in March in Regina. All of our dancers are looking forward to a fun weekend!

We're so excited that the 12th annual Lieutenant Governors Winter Festival is here! The festival starts tonight (January 29) and runs through until Saturday, January 31. 

Along with the All Ukrainian Band featuring the Sawchuk Sisters, we provide the majority of the entertainment for the Ukrainian Pavilion located at the Ukrainian Association Reading Hall at 1003 Assiniboine Avenue in Brandon. 

The Brandon Troyanda School of Ukrainian Dance is proud to have been part of the pavilions since its inception and are pleased to share with you the Ukrainian culture through dance!

Come watch us perform - our performance schedule is nearly non-stop! Plus, there is great food and beverages, music, singing and all the flavours of Ukraine.

Once again, the Brandon Troyanda School of Ukrainian Dance is holding its annual Mom's Pantry fundraiser. Mom's Pantry offers a great variety of quality food and baking products.

If you're interested, we can get you an order form OR you can just order online.

Thanks in advance for supporting our dance club - we very much appreciate it! We've been selling Mom's Pantry for a number of years and many of our friends, family, neighbours and co-workers look forward to getting their 'blue' order forms!

Our first meeting of the year and our annual general meeting will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the hall.

All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend!

We will be having a registration night on Tuesday, September 9 from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Ukrainian Association Reading Hall, 1005 Assiniboine Avenue. Everyone is welcome!

Classes will begin Tuesday, September 16. Times will be similar to last year, see Classes & Fees section for more information. 

Brandon Troyanda School of Ukrainian Dance is looking for an Instructor/Choreographer for the 2014-15 dance season. If you are interested in applying for this position, please forward the following information to: [email protected].

1. Name, address, contact information including a current email address and telephone number.
2. Description of your overall dance experience (including Jazz, Ballet, courses, workshops, awards, medals, number of years, etc.)
3. Description of your Ukrainian dance experience (number of years, types/styles/region of dances, location, etc.)
4. Description of any teaching experience (dance or otherwise) and experience working with children.
5. Description of any experience in choreography, music selection, costume design.
6. Do you have: a Current Criminal Record Check? Current Child Abuse Registry Check? Valid Driver’s License? Any certificates that are applicable to teaching Ukrainian Dance?

Congratulations to all Brandon Troyanda School of Ukrainian Dance dancers and instructors!  What a fantastic weekend in Winnipeg last weekend at the Manitoba Ukrainian Dance Festival, hosted by Selkirk Troyanda Dance Ensemble.


Our club brought home 6 gold, 10 silver medals and four awards! They included:

• Winners of the Junior Adjudicator’s Choice Award  
  
• Winners of the Intermediate Adjudicator’s Choice Award  
  
• Winners of the Male, Female or Mixed Duet Adjudicator’s Choice Award (highest mark, any age, any category) - Junior Duet, Chloe D. & Marayna K.
• Winner of the Most Promising Female: Intermediate, any category – Adjudicator’s Choice Award  - Intermediate Solo, Hillary 

We are so proud of our dancers and instructors - way to go! 

The next parent meeting (6:30 p.m.) and competition meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 18 at the hall.
